Our Commitments and Values

Les Pins Bleus,
For Social and Sustainable Tourism
The municipal campsite Les Pins Bleus is a concrete example of social and sustainable tourism.
Set in a preserved natural environment—6 hectares of Landes forest—this 3-star establishment reflects a vision of tourism focused on accessibility, solidarity, and respect for the environment.

Social Tourism
Holidays for Everyone
Social tourism aims to make the right to a holiday accessible to everyone: families with modest incomes, young people, seniors, and people with disabilities. It is not just about offering lower prices—it also emphasizes meaningful experiences and connections.
In this spirit, Les Pins Bleus is committed to offering affordable stays while promoting social bonds and diversity.
A Commitment to Welcoming Young People
For over 20 years, the campsite has been authorized by the French Ministry of Education to host school discovery trips. Local schools organize short stays in a safe and friendly environment, during which children often arrive by bike, spend one or more nights at the campsite, and then return home.
Another aspect of welcoming young people is the swimming lessons offered in the campsite’s pool. All local children in Labenne—from primary school up to middle school—learn to swim between April/June and September/October in heated water.

A Place Accessible to All: The Tourisme & Handicap Label
Continuing its commitment to inclusion, the campsite was the first in the Landes region to receive the Tourisme & Handicap certification for all four types of disabilities—motor, auditory, visual, and cognitive—in 2013.
Everything is designed to make visits and stays easier for everyone: welcoming staff, 4 adapted mobile homes, accessible sanitary facilities, and an equipped swimming pool.
Supportive Welcome for People in Need
Les Pins Bleus also welcomes accompanied groups: young people from educational and pedagogical institutes (ITEP, IME, etc.) as well as families supported by social organizations.
Thanks to its affiliation with VACAF, the campsite enables many families facing financial difficulties to enjoy a holiday.

A Commitment to Sustainable Development
In addition to its social mission, the campsite is committed to environmental responsibility. The decision has been made not to multiply permanent structures, in order to preserve areas for tents and motorhomes. This balance between modernity and respect for traditional camping allows guests to connect directly with nature in a simple, authentic way. Recycling bins, composting, and LED lighting are just some of the measures in place.
The campsite also provides guests with everything they need to dispose of their waste properly. To further its sustainable development efforts, the campsite is working towards obtaining an eco-label.
“Accueil Vélo” Certified Campsite
Located along the Vélodyssée cycle route, the campsite is an ideal stopover for cyclists. To cater to them, the campsite has earned the “Accueil Vélo” certification. Now, a dedicated area offers a shared kitchen, accommodations, a technical stop with picnic tables, and a bike repair station.
Camping Les Pins Bleus demonstrates that another kind of tourism is possible: one that is inclusive, accessible, and environmentally respectful. Through its initiatives, commitments, the dedication of its team, and openness to all, Les Pins Bleus reminds us that holidays should not be a luxury but a fundamental right for everyone—with the primary goal that guests leave with a smile on their face!
